What the Hell!?!
Just when I think George Bush can't become a bigger asshole, he goes and says something that makes him an even bigger ass crater. Apparently, it's the Democrat's fault that oil companies can't drill in off-shore locations.

With me so far?

Okay: here's the facts (Cue Dragnet theme).

Fact: More oil does not mean more gas.

Fact: More refining equals more gas, assuming they don't make something else out of it, like, oh, say plastics.

Fact: Even if they started drilling today, it would be, wait for it, 7 to 15 years before they actually started to produce anything. Net effect on $4.59 gas prices now? Zero.

Fact: Oil companies have closed, repeat, CLOSED refineries to cut cost, thus lowering their bottom line and thus increasing profits. So, even if they started drilling today and sucking oil out of the earth, they wouldn't have the refining capacity to do anything with it.

Next week, President Bush will blame congress and the Democrats because the tooth fairy no longer brings him a quarter for teeth he puts under his pillow.

Oh, the Red Cross has declared that the Bush Administration are war criminals.

Is any of this sinking in?
