25 year-old male from Ottsville, PA I'd like to think I'm witty and caring. Kittens and crying women tug at my heart strings (p.s. crying dudes does not.) I'm usually chill and easy to get along with. I love to make people laugh because I love to laugh. Ima nerd yeah, so what?! I used to weigh in around 350lbs, I don't look like that now do I? Well slowly I'm packin the weight back on, but this time it's muscle (I love weight lifting, its like another religion for me.) In the end though I'm just a big 200+ lbs teddy bear with a devilish smirk. I'd like to think I'm pretty smart (I've been told I am), but I have a tendency to be lazy unless it's something I |

Synopsis of Emergence The world of Emergence begins as a quite ordinary place. It is caught in the grips of itself, seeming ready to burst just like today, probably because it takes place today; It's 2009 an age of global warming, terrorist attacks, shortages of natural resources, a time of fears and secert fears. Humanity stands of the precipice with vast technological, biological, and scientific powers just over the horizon, but will humankind destroy itself before it begins to see the true value of its own worth?
Such questions don't begin to concern one average teen, but as his story unfolds more then just his perspective of existence will change. Aden Foster was 13 when he was wisped away suddenly to stand before the Spirit Council; a collection of all the living spirits of the Earth of every species combined into one awesome force for good. Until now humankind has not been given a seat on this council. Foster has been choosen to be the first.
Along with the responsibility that it entails being a guarden of the Earth, Aden is given a series of tasks, his success and failure will determine not just humankinds worthiness on the council, but Aden must come to grips with the new abilities he has been given, and those that his race are about to aquire. Till now superhumans were a legend and myth meant only for story books and comics, but like all dreams they eventually come to pass with time. Aden must now begin to recuit meta-humans for his self proclaimed "Crusaders of the Light."
However, Aden isn't the only one recuiting, and not all of them have the best of intensions. Governments have begun to unleash their own superpowered teams, some with less then noble purposes. Beyond that, the sudden emergence of this superpowered individuals has tipped many scales and thrown parts of the world into chaos; Terrorist cells have begun to employ meta-humans claiming that they are the forces of God, gangs and mafias of the world have employed them to increase profits and subvert and overcome the law, and new organizations have emerge due to the publics fear and hatred of these seemingly otherworldly individuals.
Its up to Aden, his teammates, and those that he "awakens" to wrestle back control for the image of the super human and bring the world together in a way never before thought imagined because these aren't the only tasks, tests, and threats that they must face. Just as they must face the greatest of challenges within themselves and eachother, they must come to grips with the very meaning of what it is to be more then human, and eventually with the very things they thought were unreal.
The story is told from the perspective of Aden himself, but many years have passed since his first time before the council. Now, a grizzled 22 year old super hero vetern recounts his tale and others as the years pass through darkness and light. Aden himself has become weay after so many battles and so many trails. Countless times hes put himself, friends, and the world on the line in order to fullfill his tasks and the duties given to him, but something is changing inside of him, something that the council did not tell him about. He feels as if he's lossing touch with his own humanity, that which he believes is the aspect that the council needs, but what he doesn't realise is that he's not losing it, the council is gaining it, but how can a living thing gain a seat on the Spirit Council, when they're spirits and he's still alive?
