Do you guys still remember me?
You know what I love? I'm not really a band geek anymore. I mean, every now and then I freak out over instruments(like at this flute I saw at a celtic festival a few weeks back), but I quit marching and concert band my senior year of high school...to join choir. I do love to sing.

Well, I am at work now. Barely awake, and I need something to do. So hey, why not give you guys a much needed update of my life? ...if you guys are still around.

I'm a sophomore in college as a theatre major. I'm hoping to apply to be a B.F.A in Acting (our department has both a BA and a BFA, but BFAs are more centralized whereas BAs are more broad). It has truly been a challenge. I have never been around people like myself so much until now. Plus, there are some who are transfer kids, who went to performing arts high schools. I was basically starting at square one, and I still have much more to learn. Right now, a far as theatre classes are concerned, I'm taking Stage Dialects, Stagecraft and Movement for the Actor. I'm taking other classes as well for my core (which I should really start focusing on...not doing so well in those)but I really don't like to think about them too much.

I haven't worked on much in the theatre department yet, but I was called back for the spring musical Ragime after auditions(we're having auditions so early because we're collaborating with the music dept and need to work with their schedule). I was one of four people that read and sang for the role that I want, Emma Goldman, the role I've wanted the most out of any show. If I get it, I will be in my first mainstage production playing a Russian feminist anarchist with a kickass belting voice. Awesome, right? I'm hoping to find the cast list in a week and a half...they have to audition more men.

I also recently applied for a study abroad scholarship. If I get it, I will be awarded $4000 that I will hopefully use next summer...a five week study in London(which only cost 5500 altogether, that's a chance of a lifetime). I'm hoping to either study theatre or children's literature there. I'm supposed to find out on November 1st...as you can see, a lot of my chances have to do with waiting for a bit. While I'm getting excited over it, I'm trying to keep myself busy. I've been asked to act in a directing scene for a class, so I have to memorize lines for that. And for the past couple of weeks, I've been working backstage for a very technical show called Hitchcock Blonde.

Hmm...what else is going on with me?
If you remember way back when, I started to really get into making youtube videos. Well..I'm still really into that. I'm not in anymore collaboration channels with anyone. I've been trying really hard to focus on me and my craft. I like to try different acting or camera techniques on an audience and hope to get more feedback. I've hit 300 subscribers on youtube, which isn't much in the grand scheme of things. But I mean think about it, 300 people have signed up to get updates to my channel. Three hundred people like to hear what I say. I think that's pretty nifty. I also make ranty vlogs, music videos, random artsy fartsy stuff. If you would like to look at it, feel free to check me out.

I've also met soooooo many people during this Youtube experience. One of my best friends Mary Kate lives in the same state as me, but we found each other through YouTube. For Spring Break, I visited my friend Nikki in Long Island and we spent a lot of time in New York City. While on a class trip to Washington D.C. I met my YT friend Steven. I took my first road trip with Mary Kate to Kentucky. My biggest adventure of all was traveling to Portland, OR last summer to stay in 2 hotel rooms with 10 of my closest online friends while attending my first YouTube gathering. It was the best days of my life, I'm not even kidding. I'll post newer pictures of my expeditions. You guys need an update.

I have to admit, the YT community has been my real online community since January 2008. I know I haven't been tied much here anymore. I'm still obsessed with the Blood Gulch Chronicles, but I can't get into the new stuff with my busy schedule. But I still like it here, and I like that so many people are still here. So many communities that I've been a part of has died, but this has just kept growing. I can't believe I've been here since March 17, 2005. That is so surreal. I read my old journals and I see how much I've grown up since all of this.

Don't really know how to end it. I hope you guys still remember who I am.
