To anyone who cares/reads from boredomSo I've been doing a lot of reading lately, inspired mainly by the show Ghost Hunters and then fueled by my own desire, about haunted places and the supernatural. I come away from my hours of reading now stunned, frightened, intrigued, and mortified. Some of the stories that tie to these haunted places prove that some of the worst types of human beings ever can still roam after death claims their mortal shell. These stories read (some backed up by the police reports) honestly make me despise individuals in this world. But regardless on my feelings of the happenstance and the WHY, the point I'm addressing is not what happened to make these spirits haunt the locations, but that they do. In any sense, what I it most intriguing, is the entire possibility of an afterlife being chained to this earth we live on now, actually any proof of the afterlife I find immensely interesting. The question of possible proven supernatural afterlife begs some questions as to the stories of the supernatural of the living. As a loose example, take the story of Vampires (Draculaesque vampires to the elegant monsters created by Ann Rice, take your pick). If the supernatural ghosts can exist, which seems to be a spirit still here after the human shell is gone, then can it also not be possible for the vampires to exist, which seems like the same situation, only they retain their body? I've come to find in my reading that the number of supposed 'true' stories of ghosts dwarfs any 'truthiness' (to quote Stephen Colbert) to other stories. Regardless on how you feel about any issue, or even if you have something to say about anything supernatural, then please make a comment. If I happen to be dead wrong about something, I would desperately like to know.
Thanks to all who read and comment,
Nick
