Late Journal is Late
First off, an update to my previous journal: The Pirates of Penzance was fantastic--the Firefly touches were kept to setting and costume, mostly, but they made for a great twist on an already amazing operetta =D Also, Stelladea is one of the sweetest people ever ^____^ Now, for the bulk of the journal: I went to Yosemite National Park two weekends ago! And since then, life has conspired to keep me from posting a POIDH journal about it. But no longer! You can haz pix!  We started our hike that day near lower Yosemite Falls, which had been augmented a bit by precipitation, some of which was still falling as snow and sleet. And then about half an hour into the hike, we ran into these guys:  That is on a crappy phone camera with no zoom. They let us get SO CLOSE...I'm pretty sure I could have reached out and touched one. And they are very cute =) I also recorded a little bit of video, because sometimes stills don't cut it. (I sound a little nasal in that video because the cold sort of killed my nose.) The gloomy weather was excellent for creepy, low-key photos though =D  And after hiking for a bit, the cold was not that noticeable. Unfortunately, tromping around in cold puddles of melted snow...still noticeable. But all the natural pretteh made up for it. On the bus ride out of the valley, we got a good look at the clouds that had been dropping snow on us all day:  Do you know how difficult it is to take a good picture on a moving bus? Such a pain @__@ XD  And an incredible sunset to end the day ^__^ Yosemite is one of my favorite places ever. There's nothing like a long hike in the woods to bring on nature-induced happehs =D LINKED MEDIA
