Halo: Reach -- is it reaching too far?
Ok, so it's been what, 9 years since Halo: Combat Evolved came out? I'm beginning to wonder how many Halo games the community can put up with before it goes the route of being as stale as that pizza on my dresser. Personally, I've been disappointed by each Halo sequel since Halo 2, although Halo Wars was a nice change of pace. Halo 3 was almost enough to change my mind, but I wasn't gripped by the single-player storyline and the once interesting Cortana came across as overly whiny and grating. Then there's ODST. What was promised was a ground breaking experience. What we got was a 5 hour campaign of going from point A to point B and a game-type with no matchmaking support for $60 bucks. So, what does Reach have in store for us? I honestly hope it reignites the Halo franchise, because now that I look at it, that pizza is beginning to mold.
