Hey, I was wondering if you could give me some ferret advice. My friend has a couple of ferrets and whenever anyone puts their harnesses on to take them for a walk they always A) give the person hell when they are putting it on and B) always manage to pull a Houdini and escape from them. I was wondering if you have any advice?
[rolls eyes] I heard they said this to a load of people. What makes the show great is that OLDER PEOPLE have the skill to act like younger people, without being overbearing. There is a reason Glee caught on over other shows. If it had been filled with real 14-18 year-olds, there is no way it would have had such mass appeal. What makes me sad is that, not only do a bunch of really talented people miss a chance at something great, but the show is bound to suffer. They're bringing in new freshman/kids and they are going to be so young. We've all watched the show and as audience members you 'grow' with the characters. And now we're going to start all over. Oi. Anyway. I'm sorry they thought you were too old. :| I'm a little flabbergasted as you look five years younger then your age. I always think we are five years apart.
Haha ayup, they did give that excuse to pretty much everyone. The kicker is that you HAD to be 18+ years old or you couldn't even audition. So basically they were looking for kids in their 20s to play 14 year olds. Which is stupid because the audition information said "play convincing high school student," and not "play a convincing FRESHMAN." Should have said that from the start and most of us wouldn't have wasted our money, or our time or theirs. It's funny they think I look too old because I have pictures hanging up in the other room of me when I was 16, and I look EXACTLY the same. Their excuses are a little too flimsy and transparent.
