Left 2 Die - Halo Infection Game & Map Not like anybody is going to ever see this, but I figured I'd post it here for the hell of it.
I recently created a map based off of the Left 4 Dead series and simply called it "Left 2 Die". I created it on October 2nd, 2010, and have been adding / changing things on it to make it harder to survive and impossible to find exploits. The most recent change and update was on October 7th, 2010, and the game works like this for both sides:
Survivors: Just like with L4D, you start out with a Shotgun and Assault Rifle (SMG for L4D, but still). The starting area for Survivors is a caved in room that was supposed to be a tunnel to lead out of the city, so the only way to go from here is a Falcon pad, but the Falcon isn't there, so you have to survive for 5 minutes to win. The Survivor starting area had a bad issue where survivors would hide in there for the whole 5 minutes, so instead of allowing that, the survivor spawn has a 10 second count down before you are killed, and the only way out is through a 1-way shield that won't let you come back inside. - There can be as many survivors as you want, but there will always be 2 starting zombies (unless changed in the game options prior to game start-up). - Survivors start out with a shotgun and assault rifle that do NOT have unlimited ammo. - Survivors have radar, but they can only see each other on the radar, so you need to keep your eyes peeled for those Zombies. - There is a Sniper Rifle, Grenade Launcher, and Rocket Launcher hidden in the map somewhere, all with limited ammo. - Last Man Standing can use vehicles (including turrets of warthogs) and can move faster than regular survivors. - Survivors have unlimited use of their Sprint ability.
Infected: - Infected start out in a cave with several teleporters leading to various locations. Teleports have objects around them to give you an idea of where you'll end up. Double Sniper Rifles indicates that the teleporter is a two-way teleporter. - Infected can jump higher than Survivors. - Infected have unlimited use of their Hologram ability, so if there are 10 zombies, they can make it seem like there are 20. - Infected use their basic Sword weapon and do 300% damage. - Infected names cannot be seen by Survivors, so your holograms can, and will, trick the survivors.
General Game Traits: - 5 rounds - Rounds are 5 minutes long - Effects include: Color Blind, Next-Gen, Purple, and Old Times - Color Blind and Next-Gen is constant. Purple appears after 2 game minutes, and Old Times appears after 3 game minutes. Purple makes it seem like it's night time, and Old Times makes it harder to see.
