Adequately Disorganised

In true, iddstar-hectic an disorganised style, I've finally managed to get my film production page up and running, although for now at least it's basically just a logo and a donations button, and the page is piggy-backing off the Button Press server and domain.

I promise you though, there will be DAILY updates, and developments, promotional materials etc. including soon information about the potential rewards if anyone should feel like sponsoring my upcoming projects...

Obviously Kickstarter is only really available to residents of the us etc. at least when setting up a project anyways, so I'm basically gonna create my own equivalent page for each film project I'm working on. Unglamorous though it may be in its current state, it is just the first step of what may hopefully some day be a half-competent website.

Currently, the most crucial thing I'm missing is funding. So any donations would be gratefully received for my next 2/3 projects:

(I'll post proper details about each on the page itself from tomorrow onwards, if anyone should be interested)

Waking Ed
A short, fictional film for my University course. When a film editor falls asleep mid-edit, it's up to the characters within his editing screen to wake him up by whatever means necessary, before the credits roll on their entire existence...

The Truro Defender
A mock-umentary style mini web-series (4-5 episodes) following the exploits of a vigilante super hero in Truro, Cornwall (the quiet country-side of England).

First Person Dater
Short, fictional film. A FPS-addicted young man is set up on a blind date, but his obsession with gaming leaves him handling the entire experience like the level of a video game, trying to follow briefs, collect inventory, reach save-points and ultimately complete the mission.

I'm pretty sure that everything's sounding rather random and out-of-the-blue, especially since I've hardly posted anything in months, but hey ho. Seems to be how my life's going right now.

INTERESTS
Reading writing drawing listening to music making music watching movies animation making movies talkaing playing guitar and generally being as happy as I can be..... oh and eating.
FAVORITE MUSIC
my favourite bands are: Lostprophets Linkin Park Red Hot Chilli Peppers.... and for some reason i've completely forgotten all the rest. But i assure you there's a lot.... oh no wait i've thought of some more: System of a Down The Prodigy The Killers The Feeling The Calling Razorlight Avril Lavigne Apollo 440 Fatboy Slim Eminem Blink 182 Feeder L.A.B. Bowling for Soup Papa Roach Jamiroquai Jet Daniel Bedingfield Kelly Clarkson Greenday Alien Ant Farm Muse Smash Mouth Alanis Morisette Anastacia Basement Jaxx Will Young Daft Punk REM David Gray Dido Evanescence Good Charlotte Gorillaz Spliff Dude (James Blunt) Gwen Stefani KT Tunstall Oasis Nickleback Some Queen stuff Scissor Sisters The Cranberries Puddle of Mudd Tenacious D Underworld The Rasmus Travis The Fratellis Black Maria Rage against the Machines some classical some rock some hip hop some soul some reggae some house... generally a bit of everything.
FAVORITE MOVIES
X-Men. I love X-Men. and all marvel movies and comics though in my opinion the fantastic four wasn';t that great. they changed too much of the original story. Hulk wasn't brilliant either. it worked as a film but it was a poor adaptation. Someone probably just decided to change the story to what they think they preffered despite the millions of fans out there who are loyal to the original saga and everything it stood for. And i also like 'The Swan Princess9; but don't spread that around.
FAVORITE TV SHOWS
Bones Buffy Angel Malcolm in the Middle Stargate Firefly (and a kid's tv show called Kim Possible. stellar theme tune).
FAVORITE BOOKS
Absolutely anything written by Terry Pratchett the Edge Chronicles Victoria Hanely books The Princess Bride (S. Morgenstern's classic tale of true love and high adventure (super read i reccomend it to all)) Many books including DRAGONS.
FAVORITE VIDEO GAMES
Tetris. It's so damn addictive.

Indeed!

Glad you're in good health. I guessed you were probably swamped. I know, university is like that. How are you coping so far? Doing well, I hope. I've been keeping up with your vids on youtube btw, good stuff. How many years in are you now? I lose track of time...
How's the Missus, by the way? and Olly, and Jemma, haven't spoken to her for ages either.

I'm doing pretty much the same -- bit of manual work, bit of paperwork, bit of plans, massively backed up on the pictures I owe people (thus my not offering to do any guest comics lately) but a bit quiet on the work front this week as we're waiting for some plans to come back from the council. I also sent out about 25 Chinese New Year cards today. Do you know what stamps cost now? 46p! That said I'm sure one more wont hurt if you want one, still got time.

... A thought has just occurred. Pretty much all the Button Press references to coffee are "essential for socialising/sustaining/having an education in film-making turned into drinks runs".

So hypothetically, as a tea-only drinker, would I be completely left behind in that area of media?

-Peter

p.s. Not that it's much better for my actual field studied - I did journalism but don't drink alcohol. How will I ever succeed?

Just thought I should alert you, since you happen to be one of my oldest friends, even if I don't get the chance to talk with ya all that much anymore xD.

Going to be taking a serious jab at getting a book published. Expect some slight excerpts and such on devart as I write it up =P
