Still alive.....?
Well it's been over a year since my last journal entry and since then a lot of things have happened in my life. I haven't quit checking out what RT is up to (despite that 1-800 Shadowruin machima cr*p almost made me), I just haven't bothered to log in that offen.
The biggest ting that has heppened is that I'we finnished upper secondary school and started studying at university, I guess this is comparable to graduating from high school and starting at Cholege (in the US). Unfortunetly I didn't get in where I wanted, the one in my home city, Helsinki, but I got into the one in Turku, and I guess this isn't so bad after all. Unlike in Helsinki, everything is within walking distance to where I live now (I had to move out from my parents place).
As I mentioned, I moved into my first appartment that's not parents appartment I'm actually enjoyin the freedom. Basically it's like a Cholege drom with shared showers, bathroom and kichen. The other people living on the same floor (we share the prviosly mentioned things per floor) seem like a really nice bunch, they don't make a racket during the night, clean after themselves in the kiched as well as leaving my food alone.
The freedom "of being your own ruler" felt kind of weird in the beginning, but after realizing that I can do almost whatever I want I ended up drinking a ton of soda (my mom as a dentist banned soda in our family exept on special occasions) that then led to me getting tired of the stuff. So basically I don't drink any more soda because it tastes like crap after I had about half a gallon a day.
The studies have also started pretty well, with the slight problems caused by having to go back to Helsinki (a 2 hour trainride) to redo a cupple of upper secondary school tests (when I still can incase I want to swich school or start studying something else).
To get together a proper starting sum for my studies (for numerous expected and unexpected expences) I worked last summer and the summer before that at a construction site, physical job with a somewaht bad pay, but still pretty ok job thanks to a lot of nice co-wokers, and ofcouse a nice "counterweight" to sitting on the school bench.
So I'm doing quite ok here in Turku, I'we even bought an Xbox 360 to keep me company, wich ofcouse gave me a bit of an headace, what was wrong and how I fixed it is matearial for another journal entry...
