Production Blog #2...
...WoW I actually made another one of these. So where's my treat? Anyhoozies time to keep y'all updated. So for those of you who don't know, my wife and I are attempting to build the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. I've been following this tutorial. It's from a website/youtube channel that has become my bible for all things production. Whether it's props or actual DIY equipment it's helped me a lot these past few years on shaping whatever little creativity I may possess. So I had to make a few adjustments from what we learned from the video. It says to get a some PVC couplers but in reality I needed some ABS couplers. Because interesting fact; the ABS pipes are quite thick and because of this, cannot fit into PVC couplers. So logical heads up; PVC fits in PVC and ABS fits in ABS. The video also said they used 4 inch ABS pipes and 4 Inch PVC Couplers. Again I had to call shenanigans on that. It looks more like 3" ABS to go into the 4" PVC coupler. Now as you can imagine there's some free space between the pipe and couplers so we had to cut some foam from the mats we purchased and make a support so the pipe and kind of stay suspended in the coupler. On the next Production blog I'll talk about the actual manual labor we put into. Would you guys rather have a Production Vlog or you're liking the Blog? POLL TIME. LINKED MEDIA
