Well, I've been in Austin, Texas for the past few months, visiting my brother and his girlfriend, and in a few days I head back home. Part of me's a little sad, my brother and I are pretty close, we hang out constantly, but part of me's looking forward to my town. I love Oregon, I feel at home anywhere I go in my little town of Albany. It's the perfect place for me to live. The rain, the cold, I love it. A lot of people get depressed on cold, rainy days, I don't know why. Rain's beautiful and life-giving. What's depressing about water falling from the heavens, revitalizing the plants and filling the rivers? It doesn't rain much here in Texas, a lot of the plant life looks dead. I'll happily take a nice, cloudy , rainy day over a hot, sunny day. I love watching and listening to the rain hitting the river. As much as I like visiting my brother, I'm happy to be going to my home again. Oregon's always gonna be a part of me, the green of the trees and the silver clouds always make me feel at home.
