Skyrim Guard
"I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee" Those of us that have played Skyrim know these guards for their witty and entertaining (at times interrupting) conversations. A Skyrim Guard is my next costume I want to make. Complete with an arrow sticking out of his knee. I would absolutly LOVE to just wander around Comic Con or PAX and just go up to people and all the random lines the guards say. "What is it? DRAGONS?" "Lightly armored means light on your feet. Smart" "I've heard about you and your honey'd words" "The gods gave you two hands, and you use them both for your weapon. I can respect that" Modify them a bit but damn it will be fun!!! XD I've got to learn how to make helmet armor out of Styrene, and how to do the outfit itself. Lot of leather, and a little chain mail. Aoina has played with armor more than I have so I figure I'll get her advice on some of it. I've looked up how to make armor out of thin aluminum as well. That would be cool. Chain mail is not hard, but it will take time. I think some of her costume has some chain mail so I need to coordinate with her to make it all in one go. Easier that way. Leather will be new for me, and maybe sewing. ugh, tedious work. Their boots and gloves are very old/period looking. Stitched together all craptastic like they would be back then. Then we get to the weapons! That will be fun. That would be my next costume I figure. Expect stuff on that, as well as some light up work I might be doing for enchanted armor and weapons.
