Battlefield 3EA all I want is to play Battlefield Multiplayer. Instead I get the error message "Connection to EA servers has been lost." or something along those lines. Then my game goes into a loading screen and stays there until I reset... All I can play is single player, and we all know multiplayer is the reason why anyone buys Battlefield.
I also spent 2 hours on a live chat with EA customer service. This started out about Battlefield but quickly turned into trying to link my gamertag to my EA account. I also spent 2 hours on a live chat with EA customer service. This started out about Battlefield but quickly turned into trying to link my gamertag to my EA account. Unfortunately my gamertag is already linked to another account, a disabled account, one I had EA disable intentionally. I had it disabled because I couldn't unlink my gamertag and I wanted it on an account of the email address I currently use. Apparently disabling would not help me in this case, but they didn't warn me of that before I disabled it. So instead I spent 2 hours with EA customer service trying to reactivate this "disabled" account. Their way of verification is asking you the Date of Birth associated with the account.
Now I'll be the first to admit that pre 18 and 21 I would go with a fake birthdate to get into the site. Usually I would just tack on 10 years and go with 1980, just to make it nice and easy. Sometimes I would just scroll down and randomly pick a year. Sometimes I wouldn't even use the correct day and month. You can see where my dilemma is here. Verifying my account based on Date of Birth was just a guessing game. So I spent 2 hours and got no where, but confirmation that my gamertag is in fact locked in this "disabled" account until I can verify through date of birth.
The worst part is that I also needed to verify by DOB when I asked them to delete it. What DOB did I give them? Well my email with customer service says I gave them my real DOB 07/27/90 and they deleted my account no problem... Now when I want to reactivate that account with that same DOB it doesn't work.
EA all I want to do is play Battlefield Multiplayer.
