When you start a career, there are certain milestones you reach; some you look forward to, some you wish to never see as long as you work toward retirement. Today, I reached a milestone fairly early in my career as a teacher that I wished to never have met. Today I had to call CPS. I did exactly what I was supposed to do, and really think alleviated a lot of my student's anxiety over everything, but I honestly don't know how to process what happened today.
On what might be another disappointing note to some of you, Austin for RTX probably isn't going to happen: I'm saving up to go to Norway this summer. As much as I would really like to make it this year and meet a lot of you, I've been wanting to go to Europe since I was in high school. There's a feasible possibility that I can save up enough to go this year, and I'm not going to miss it.
