Manifest Destiny
My friends....
Like many of us, I've taken up causes for which I believe in to improve the world or just date a hot chick who wanted to improve the world, but there is one thing that I've strongly fought for since conception.
Population is booming, and while World War III looms to take out a good chunk of our population, I can't help but feel that it's an inadequate solution for a permanent problem. At times like this our forefathers would strike out to undiscovered country and tame the land, pillage the natives, and make ale out of... marbles or whatever the hell they do to make that stuff.
What we lack now is real estate. Building on top of ourselves is not a permanent solution... unless we just send all the homeless and hippies down there... In America it would seem like there are no places to start out now. Everything is getting industrialized and there are at least twelve Starbucks in every dirty town.
But, being the damn finest country in the world, have an untapped area of growth that can shelter future freedom fighters: The Moon. Yes, the Moon is not technically part of the earth, but we are the only ones who've planted a flag on it. Based on land claims from previous centuries we have a rightful claim to the ENTIRITY of the Moon.
But time is wasting and we've still not broken ground for one foundation! Like it's a big deal that they don't have air up there. Guess what? It's not going to get fixed until YOU complain about it.
Which brings me to this question:
