have a little patriotismA Soldiers Love
To soldier is to live,
But not all soldiers must fight to be soldierly.
Defending ones country in battle or peace
Gives life and takes life,
But the patriotism of both living and dead men
Relinquishes to others a strong sense of honor and pride in ones country.
Whether a soldier at war or a boy in game,
Fighting man or imagination despite the odds of his adversary.
Doing all he can to protect what he loves,
For he knows that what he loves is worth dying for.
May it be a woman, land, business, or just a pet….he fights.
Not every man fights on the fields of death.
Supporting those warriors of bloodied honor
Gives the man at a radio the same honor and pride as the man with a gun.
Sharing the same goal for a peace that may not exist,
These men fight for the same cause making them brothers of freedom.
Peace is a word to give people hope.
A word that drives a soldier to fight until his last breath.
People say that war is hell, but in itself is poetic.
A man who fights so adamantly for what he believes creates such a great nation as this.
Multiply one soldiers love for his country to several thousands of men…
I give you the greatest force and brotherhood the world has ever seen.
Serve and love your country.
Embrace this great nation like no other,
Because someone gave his God given right to live for you.
Their love gives you the right to speak against them and criticize their country.
The next time you or someone else speaks ill of YOUR nation…
Think about all those men who gave their lives so you could live free of tyranny.
