Project Updates Basically this is what I'm focusing my attention on right now, but I'm also feeling really lazy and since I haven't been working on anything in a while. I've put the Red vs. Blue projects on halt to develop some ideas that have popped in my brain, but that doesn't mean I won't stop making anything Red vs. Blue related. I'm experimenting around with different styles to help me create my own sound and that will reflect heavily on my future releases, so please be patient.
asIAN - This is not a typo, it's stylized like that purpose, for a few reasons. I've been experimenting with pitch modulation (autotuning) and I also always wanted to try to make a song that was a random as hell and didn't stick to one music genre the whole time; so after watching some mrSimon videos, this is what I'm making. This whole song uses samples from a video by a guy I knew in my band class (we were both in the percussion section), that has since been removed from Youtube, but luckily, I ripped the file beforehand, and now it's saved on my powerbook. It was made purely for the reason that he and another guy in the video, wanted to be featured on Tosh.0. The video is in the style of ItsKingsleyBitch's "I Hate" videos, and features loads unnecessary complaints about random things in general (ex: I hate camel toe, Green Day sucks, I wanna punch Justin Bieber in the vagina, etc.). The song is called asIAN, because his name is Ian and he's ASIAN. Hehehe...(please shoot me). The main parts of the track will have vocal samples from the video "autotuned" (I'm not using Antares Auto-Tune, I'm using Celemony Melodyne) and will feature a wide variety of other samples (inspired by mrSimon's songs, especially the "-CORE" tracks), including Pokémon, Green Day, and N-Trance. The extreme stylistic changes to expect include starting out like The College Dropout era of Kanye West and then suddenly changing to hardcore gabber (yeah I'm that crazy). This is my main priority.
Put Love In a Crematorium (Dubstep Remix) - This is a song by The Crowded Mainland, recorded on an iPod, that is about Nazis and love. The only reason I'm doing a DUBSTEP remix of some high school kids trying emulate 90's Punk rock with just an acoustic guitar, is because I know these guys, and I thought it would funny to screw with their minds by doing this. My second priority.
Sonic Generations Remix Album - I may or may not make this album, depending if Sonic Generations doesn't end up being a disappointment. If it hopefully isn't, expect me to release this, though it doesn't exactly physically exist yet. The album will contain tracks consisting samples of voices, sound effects and music in the game, and will explore different genres (hip hop, house, dubstep, chiptune, drum and bass, speedcore, etc.). I'm also planning a dedication to the artist known as Pogo, who is a big influence on my musical style, with a Sonic track likened to his style.
